Lauded as one of today’s most probing and virtuosic musical voices, Nancy Zhou is the winner of the 2018 Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition. With a robust online presence seeking to invigorate appreciation for the art and science of the violin, her thoughtful musicianship resonates with a global audience, bringing her on stage with leading orchestras around the world. Born in Texas to Chinese immigrant parents, Zhou began violin studies under the guidance of her father, later studying at the New England Conservatory while pursuing her interest in literature at Harvard University. In 2008, violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter invited her to join the Mutter Virtuosi that has toured worldwide. Since 2018, she has been an Associate Artist of the Queen Elisabeth Chapel, where she worked closely with Augustin Dumay.
