The first Chinese to win the prestigious Grand Prize at the Marguerite Long–Jacques Thibaud International Piano Competition, Song Siheng studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, école Normale de Musique de Paris and Conservatoire de Paris. As the multiple prizewinner of numerous competitions, he has performed in important venues and with prestigious orchestras around the globe, and has collaborated with maestros such as Marek Janowski, James Judd, Alain Lombard, Edo de Waart and so on. In 2009, he became the youngest Resident Artist in history of the Shanghai Grand Theatre.
