One of the foremost Russian conductors in the tradition of Ilya Musin and Kirill Kondrashin, Vassily Sinaisky’s highly distinguished career includes many positions and guest conducting appearances with the world’s leading orchestras and opera houses. In addition to his considerable experience and facility in Russian repertoire, he is known for masterful interpretations of German and British symphonic and operatic works and has made many acclaimed recordings. He was Chief Conductor and Music Director of Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre (2010–2013) and in September 2020 became Music Director of the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra in Ostrava.
