The concert starts with Elliot Leung’s Aureate Skylines.in celebration of the region’s cultural richness perfectly echoing the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra’s Shenzhen concert. Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major performed by four GSO solo musicians with orchestra, marking the 270th in celebration of the 270th anniversary of Mozart’s birth in 2026. Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No.2, often described as a “Russian lyrical symphony,” brings the evening to a moving close with its warmth, sweeping lyricism and deeply sincere expression.
